JM1369 EXTREMELY RARE MARLIN 1891 1ST MODEL
Item # JM1369
This is a 1st year production 1st model in exceptional condition! The 1891 was Marlin's first lever action offering of a 22 cal rifle. This is a 1st model which has the loading gate on the side. You don't see a lot of model 1891's of any kind but a 1st model is a rare find. Especially one in this condition. Bbl blue is at 95-98% with just a couple light scratches. The receiver is also at 90-95%. About the only blemish is on the left side where there is a slight bit of flaking. The forearm cap still retains nearly all the blue. JM1374 VERY UNIQUE MARLIN BALLARD
Item # JM1374
This is a cased # 3 gallery rifle in 25 RF. Uniqueness comes into play with a special order stock. Also the bbl is marked "John Rigby" with their Dublin and London address. Also British proof marks. To top it all off it comes in a case marked with "John Rigby and Co" label on the inside lid. This gun fits like a glove. The case was evidently built for this gun. I'm not sure how they accomplished this. Did Rigby order some Marlin Ballards and did the work on them or was a rich customer who had Rigby work on it after they received it? Whatever the case be, it is a fine looking gun with a 26" oct tapered bbl of medium weight. VG bore with good rifling right down to the chamber. Frame still has most case colors though quite dim. Stronger in protected areas. Smooth metal. Very readable address. Globe flip front sight. Typical English rear sight with a thick blade and also a exceptionally nice tang sight. As stated gun comes in a black case. Inside is green felt which is in decent condition. Just some typical wear marks. Nice feature is an original cleaning rod included. Case is in quite good condition. It is missing the handle and securing straps and also one end is missing. Never seen a Marlin Ballard set-up like this.

JM1373 MERRIMACK ARMS BALLARD
Item # JM1373
The Merrimack markings are on the left hand side of the frame. On top is number 169 and on the bbl is number 44. The Merrimack Ballards were an early Ballard. This has a cool rear flip sight where you would have standard sight and you could flip up for elevation. It is marked 250 yards and a very optimistic 500 yards. 28" round bbl that is mostly a grey color along with the frame being grey with some light brown. Forearm wood is very nice as is the buttstock with the exception of some chipping along where the wood meets the frame. This is a common problem on the Ballards. Crescent buttplate. VG bore.

JM1363 RARE MARLIN 1888 RIFLE

The Marlin 1888 rifle was only built for a couple of years with less than 5k produced. On top of being rare, this gun has a lot of cond. Most blue remains on all metal. JM1352 MARLIN MODEL 94 RIFLE
Item # JM1352
Cal 25-20 M. Serial numbers are in the 363k serial range which would put it in 1907 or 1908 making it well over 100 years old and it kinda looks like it. This old Marlin has "been there and done that". I'm sure it has seen many hunting adventures! Metal is somewhat smooth with light pinpricking throughout. Mostly a grey color on the frame with brown in protected areas. A lot of dings, scrapes, scratches and cracks in the forearm. The buttstock looks like the orig was probably busted off and a replacement was put on with some "customizing". That also has seen years of use and abuse. Dark bore that needs a good cleaning. Blade style front sight and a Frontier replacement rear sight. Upper tang is cracked/broken. There is some interesting history with the gun. This Marlin was owned by the Sheriff of Liberty County Montana. There is several newspaper articles about Dodds Keith , Sheriff, that accompany the gun. There is a lot of colorful Montana history in the papers that are dated in the 1950's. Also some paperwork that shows the gun was in the renowned Yearout collection. Would make a great conversation gun!
Modern $ 875.

JM1346 MARLIN 1893 RIFLE IN ORIGINAL FACTORY CRATE WITH LOADING TOOLS AND AMMO
Item # JM1346
Consignment listing - the owner described to us as “1893 Marlin lever action rifle that my father purchased from a small general store in Moreland Arkansas in the early 1950's. The rifle was still in the original wooden crate that it was shipped in from Marlin Firearms, and my dad happened upon it one day while selling groceries and feed to the store. He had dropped his pen and when he bent over to get it, he saw the wooden crate under the store counter. The owner of the store sold it to my dad that day.” This high condition case colored 1893 rifle has an about VG bore with sharp rifling and some roughness throughout. Cal 32-40. What for? Nice marking on the upper tang. Appears to be the orig Marlin stock that has had some work done on it. The buttplate is a bit ill fitting. A coat of varnish has been added. The forearm looks to have been broken and repaired. A crack shows on the left all the way through. A couple of filled plug screws also visible. Forearm is together and solid. Old Marlin pumps had a unique look.
